Colonizing Disability

From what we have witnessed history-wise is that the colonizer always tries to make the colonized people forget their mother-tongue-language and adopt the colonizer’s language. Such mentality of having the need of others to accommodate their own lives in order to fit the liking of one’s opinion is quite backward.

Just like a kid that would love to eat their food in a certain way and would throw a tantrum if it was not specifically made to their liking. A sign of maturity is understanding the world doesn’t revolve around them and they have to adapt to other’s surrounding.

Like so, abelists would rather have disabeled people accomodate their lifestyle to fit theirs. The fact that the term disabled was probably found by an able person should explain that it’s already hard to be a disabled and yet our society expects the disabled to accommodate their condition in order to live in the able world.

In conclusion, I believe that we as human beings should be accommodating and adapting to each others environment rather than forcing each others to live a certain way.
